News & Views from
our CD
Sandy and I are out of town in
Beeville, Texas for Christmas with Terry, Oscar and the boys.
I wanted to take the time to wish you all a Merry
Christmas and Happy New Year. If you are reading this before
Christmas, Merry Christmas, if after, I hope you and yours had a Merry
Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year!
I cannot believe that Sandy and I have been your
CD for a year already, but it is true. Looking back on the year it
has been very slow for the Chapter and not much time for us. Sandy
and I were gone more than 3 months this year and it really slowed down the
motorcycle riding for us. There were months that the bikes stayed on
the center stand in the garage and that has got to stop!
We were able to put together a wonderful trip to
West Texas, Fort Davis, and the Big Bend. The pictures are in our
scrapbook section on the website. We also did a couple of breakfast
rides. We went to Fairfield two or three times and Sam's, of
course. We had plans to attend the State Rally and overnight to see
the painted churches, the Region Rally in Marshall, but something was
always in the way. We did change our meeting place and what an
improvement that has been. Still working on Glenn to get him in
office. I'm sure he will make it.
We had a great Christmas party on December 10, a
lot of good fellowship and all the food that we could eat. There are
numerous pictures posted on the website so take a look! We all had a
good time and are ready for next year. We missed Glenn and Marilyn
and Mike and Dorothy.
I would like to start off the new year with a
ride, but that is not a good time for many of our members as we are committed on Sunday. Maybe we could do it on the 31st or January 2
and call it the first ride of the new year. We want to make the
Region Rally in March, the State Rally in Kerrville in May and plan some
other things through the year. As always, I am more than ready to
accept any ideas for rides and gatherings! Chapter F will be as successful
as we all want to make it!!
