Special Note from your Webmaster: I'd
like to take up a small amount of space and express my apologies for
causing the newsletter to be posted almost a month late! I moved
during that time period and my attentions were elsewhere! I'm sorry
if some of the info seems late, or out of date! Hopefully we
will be able to post a fresh final newsletter of the year at the end of
December. Terry Mendoza

Here it is past time for the
newsletter again and I have nothing to write about! I could write
about current events and world affairs, it would not sound like what you
have heard, so I'll not do that.
It has been so hot this summer that I have
curtailed my riding. We were able to get in a couple of morning
rides for breakfast, one to Coldsprings and the other to Conroe.
Most of the Chapter had plans to go to the Region
H Rally in Marshall, but it was called off because of Hurricane
Katrina. We then planned to take an overnight ride on the 29th and
30th of October but cancelled that because of Hurricane Rita! So, we
went to Sam's in Fairfield for lunch.. you just have to be flexible!
Hopefully with cooler weather we will be able to get in a little seat
time. We all need it.
We have worked out the basic plans for the
Christmas party. PLACE - Everett and Sandy's house. WHEN - 2nd
Saturday in December (10th). TIME - 6 p.m. until you are ready to go
home. Food is still in the planning stage. Each person needs
to bring a gift with a $15.00 limit. (P.S. It should be something John
Anderson would like!)
I am having some problems with the newsletter
content. What needs to be included is 1.) something from the C.D.,
Everett, Sandy or both. 2.) Something from the A.C.D., Frank, Pam,
or both. 3.) Something from the Educator, Glenn. and 4.)
Anything that ANYONE in the chapter finds of interest.
With the website, I would like to see a lot of
pictures. More like a magazine format. With this format almost
anything would fit and be of interest to all.
This is what I would like to try, but I will need
your help and input to make it work. Any photos can be submitted to
me for scanning or can be submitted via email. Whatever works best
for you. Just include some details of each photo or submit a
story. Just so we are all contributing. We'll just have to
work on the timing more to get then newsletters updated on time.

Chapter F Gathering
October 8 2005
Madisonville, Texas
We gathered
at 8:30 AM at the Second Baptist Church with members Everett and Sandra
Wooten, John and Janean Anderson , Olan and Regina Weaver, Mike
Rowley , Dorthy Villa , Butch and Carolyn Morris, and Frank and
Pam Lucas. Meeting with
us from GWRRA Regional was Steve and Judy Mueller our Asst. Regional
Directors.
It is always very informative and very
interesting to have someone like Steve and Judy visit our Chapter. We
discussed our Christmas Party and where it is going to be. It is very nice
of Everett and Sandra to have the Christmas Party at their Home. It will
be a lot of fun; I can’t wait to battle with John over the
presents.
After the meeting we made a short ride to Leona
for breakfast at one of the best little restaurants in Texas. I think the
name of the restaurant was Pecan Grove, well I not sure but the food was
good, and it is in Leona, Texas on Old 75. It isn't hard to miss because
they have a Caution Light.
The food was great and the waitress was a true professional with a
lot of gab.
After breakfast John and Janean, Butch and
Carolyn and Pam and I rode on to Jewett to a Car Show and Flea Market. The
Car Show was small but they had some real nice Cars and Pickups. We had a
nice time looking around at the Flea Market. It is always lots of
fun looking at all the stuff people try and sell. Janean can give a more in depth
report at what they had at the Flea Market.
After Jewett we all headed for home hoping
to ride another day. With the weather cooling a little riding will be a
lot better. If anybody wants to ride give us a call. See you down
the road.

Something to Think About.......
I received this as an e-mail from a friend. It is
"Two Wolves" and "Age Activated Attention Deficit
Disorder". I found them both interesting.
