GWRRA's 26th Wing Ding
Grapevine, Texas
July 4 - 8, 2004

The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) kicked off a Wing Ding like none before on July 4, 2004.  This year the event was 5 days long ending on July 8, 2004.  The annual event was held at the newest of the Gaylord Opryland resorts, "Gaylord Texan".
The "Gaylord Texan" was set among the rolling pasturelands of the town of Grapevine and is located on the southern tip of Lake Grapevine.
There were hundreds of vendors, educational seminars, rider training courses, talent show, motorcycle drill teams and much much more.
Frank and Pam Lucas, Everett and Sandra Wooten along with their daughter, FTroop Webmaster, Terry and her children Dustin and Devin set out for a campground in Denton, Texas to take part in Wing Ding XXVI in Grapevine, Texas.  They were later joined by Frank and Pam's son Scott with his wife Jean.   We don't have as many pictures as we had hoped we would but we were all so busy enjoying the sites there just wasn't time!  Please enjoy our scrapbook pages from WING DING XXVI!

The front entrance of the Gaylord Texan.  If you look closely, you can see the bikes lined up the drive two or 3 columns wide.

One of several "Bell Towers".. this one was home to a digital Marquee pictured with the Wing Ding XXVI logo.

Photo of the Gaylord Texan River located inside a huge glass dome area.   This was also home to a lot of plant life including very large trees (below).  There were at least two bell towers and what looked almost like an Alamo type replica.   There were bridges and pathways and patio areas with water fountains.  It was a beautiful place. Below Sandy poses with her grandchildren on one of the many "look outs".
